Welcome New State Representatives 2024 – 2025

As we journey to connect and build the tech community for Vietnamese professionals in Australia, ITPA has entered its 5th year of growth, thanks to the dedication of our BOD, Representatives, and the support of our members. Aiming to expand and strengthen our association, ITPA is thrilled to announce the appointment of seven excellent, dynamic and passionate State Representatives, representing six states in Australia and one city in Vietnam.

  • Mr. Kevin Duong is state representative of Tasmania
  • Mr. Kim Nguyen is state representative of NSW
  • Ms. Ha Trinh is state representative of WA
  • Mr. Khoi Pham is state representative of HCMC
  • Mr. Long Vu is state representative of Queensland
  • Mr. Mai Pham is state representative of SA
  • Mr. Dat Nguyen is state representative of Victoria

Each of these individuals is a seasoned IT professional eager to contribute to the advancement of the ITPA community. We hope that they will organize many valuable activities and events to foster stronger connections among the whole community and bring members closer together in their states.

Tasmania

I'm Kevin Duong, currently working as an Educational Technologist at the University of Tasmania, Torrens University, and AQ1 Systems. My job involves designing training programs, providing eLearning solutions, building course websites, and managing learning systems. I have many projects in mind to implement for members in Tasmania because I see that people here are somewhat disadvantaged in terms of opportunities compared to other states, like organizing professional events to connect experts, businesses, government organizations in Tasmania with Vietnamese students; supporting first-year students in IT career orientation. Of course, we can't forget about organizing other recreational activities to strengthen the camaraderie and spirit of unity among fellow Vietnamese. Stay tuned for upcoming events in Tasmania. Western Australia

Hey everyone! I’m Ha, born 1989 (for ease of communication). I’m currently an Account Executive in Gartner; and before that I worked for FPT Software for 10 years in both VN and Australia. I’ve been living in Perth for 6 years. Ever since I came to Australia,

I’ve been wanting to “do something” for the Vietnam Tech community in Perth, starting small from creating a platform for people to get to know one another, to helping members with issues in finding and retaining work; and also with personal issues. My hobbies: traveling, anime, reading books, hiking, gym and gardening. Nice to meet you all.

Ho Chi Minh city

Hi everyone, I’m Khoi Pham.

I currently work as an IT Business Analyst at TPI Software in Ho Chi Minh City. Before this, I held roles as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, and Solution Consultant at Viettel Solutions, and also worked as a Freelance BI Analyst.

I enjoy analyzing and solving business problems and like to connect with business owners to discuss their challenges and solutions. I am also passionate about sports, especially football, swimming, and running.

I understand the importance of networking and believe that connecting the right people at the right time is key to success. This belief drives my motivation to enhance the relationship between the Vietnam and Australia market, creating opportunities that allow businesses and individuals to thrive.

Queensland

Hi,

I’m Long (2000), but most people call me Oliver. I’m in my final semester studying Data Science at QUT, Brisbane, and concurrently working as a Data Analyst at PwC Brisbane office .

I’m always keen on bringing the Vietnamese community in Australia closer together, especially those in the IT industry. That’s why I aspire to become the State Rep of ITPA in QLD. I want to work together with everyone to build a stronger Vietnamese community in Tech with lots of fun and “meaningful” meetups for everyone.

Victoria

My name is Dat Nguyen! A little bit about myself: I’m an electrical engineer graduate from RMIT, currently working as an automation/DevOps engineer at LIFX, a smart lighting development company.

Because I love networking and connecting with people outside of work, I’m eager to become the representative for ITPA in Victoria this year. I hope to have more opportunities (to hang out) to meet and connect with everyone. I’m looking forward to learning from everyone. I hope we can organize many enjoyable meet-ups in the near future to get acquainted with members in Victoria.
