ITPA successfully held three casual networking events across Tasmania, Queensland, and South Australia on September 14th, 2024. Each event offered participants a unique opportunity to engage with fellow professionals, exchange valuable insights, and expand their industry connections. Below is a recap of the key highlights from each location.
Tasmania: “Understanding the Employers” Workshop
Last week, ITPA Tasmania hosted the highly anticipated event “Understanding the Employers,” featuring three distinguished speakers: Can Phu, Amber Nguyen, and Yen Vo. The session provided practical and insightful advice on how to excel in IT job interviews within the Tasmanian market. Participants benefited from the relatable experiences shared by the guest speakers and engaged in a lively discussion on strategies to navigate the interview process.
ITPA Tasmania would like to extend its gratitude to the speakers, attendees, and photographer Alvin Sy for capturing the day’s highlights. Special thanks to BlueSky Consulting for sponsoring an exclusive interview coaching session, which was awarded to My Nguyen, the lucky recipient of this fantastic opportunity. The organizing committee will be in touch with My Nguyen to coordinate the coaching session with BlueSky in the near future.
Queensland: Outdoor BBQ Meetup
The Queensland meetup took a more casual approach, with an outdoor BBQ held by the picturesque seaside at Kangaroo Points Cliff Park. Participants enjoyed an afternoon of good food, beautiful scenery, and relaxed conversation. The BBQ provided an excellent opportunity for IT professionals and students to connect, share experiences, and discuss industry developments in an informal setting.
We are grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event a success. Your participation helps foster a stronger IT community in Queensland, and we look forward to hosting more events in the future.
South Australia: Casual Drinks
In South Australia, IT professionals gathered at Harry’s Bar in Adelaide for a casual drinks meetup. This laid-back event offered attendees the chance to network, share ideas, and discuss the latest trends in the IT industry over refreshments in a comfortable setting. The atmosphere was welcoming, with both experienced professionals and those new to the industry enjoying lively conversations.
We extend our thanks to all participants for making this gathering such a productive and enjoyable event. We look forward to continuing to build connections within the South Australian IT community through future events.
Thank you to all our members and attendees across Tasmania, Queensland, and South Australia for your active participation in these events. Stay tuned for more ITPA activities coming soon!
