Children are the future, the hope of society, they are the next generation, and they represent the change for the better in our society.

Unfortunately, not everyone is born with equal opportunities, especially if they come from economically disadvantaged areas in Vietnam or other countries where early work becomes a necessity.

And because of that, many children are forced into child labour, abuse or even sold off.

I’d like to invite everyone to a casual chat with two of my good friends, who also been doing great work to help disadvantaged children.

Since beginnings in 2003, Blue Dragon has become a powerful force for change on the streets of Vietnam, both in the bustling cities and in rural areas where poverty is widespread.

Blue Dragon helps kids in crisis throughout Vietnam. We work with street kids, runaway children, victims of human trafficking, children with disabilities, young rural-urban migrants, kids affected by drugs and HIV/AIDS, homeless families, child prisoners, and the rural poor.

I met Vị through Michael, the former CEO of Blue Dragon and we instantly clicked over a cup of ice coffee in Hanoi a couple of years ago and have become good friends since.

At 15 years old, Do Duy Vi left his hometown to make a living on the streets of Hanoi. Two decades later, he is now one of the Chief Executives of the foundation that rescued him.
